Even pacing
Anchor the day with a calm first task, a real lunch, a short walk when you can, and the same small ritual when you shut the laptop.
Calmer desk days in Finland—simple pacing ideas
In Finland many of us face short winter daylight, warm dry offices, and long hours at a screen. These pages offer general ideas about spacing tasks, meals, drinks, and movement—how comfortable or focused you subjectively feel at work, not medical outcomes.
Even pacing
Anchor the day with a calm first task, a real lunch, a short walk when you can, and the same small ritual when you shut the laptop.
Small movements
Brief stretches for neck, wrists, hips, and eyes help long desk sessions feel less stiff without turning the office into a gym.
Fluids you notice
Tea, water with berries, or soup on your desk make drinking a regular habit instead of something you remember only when you are already tired.

Cookies and similar technologies (including local storage and similar browser storage) may store information on or read information from your device. In Finland, rules on storing and accessing information in end-user terminal equipment are primarily set out in the Act on Electronic Communications Services (Laki sähköisen viestinnän palveluista, as amended) implementing EU Directive 2002/58/EC (the “ePrivacy” framework), together with guidance from the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency (Traficom) and EU-level developments. The GDPR applies to any personal data processed by cookies (for example online identifiers).
Google Ads: if we connect Google or similar advertising tags, they will be listed in the table below and activated only when you opt in to marketing cookies, consistent with Google’s EU User Consent Policy for end users in the EEA and with Finnish law.
This policy supplements our privacy policy. For your statutory rights and the right to lodge a complaint with the Finnish Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (Tietosuojavaltuutettu), see the privacy policy and tietosuoja.fi.
When you first visit, a banner offers Accept all, Reject (non-essential technologies), and Cookie settings with category toggles. Strictly necessary storage needed to operate the site and to remember your choices remains active regardless of optional categories.
Optional analytics and marketing technologies are off by default until you actively enable them and save your choice (or choose “Accept all”). This follows the principle of giving end users control over non-essential use of terminal equipment storage, as emphasised in Finnish and EU regulatory practice.
You may withdraw or change consent at any time by clearing site data for this domain in your browser, or—when we add a dedicated preference link—by using that link. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
Strictly necessary storage is used where it is essential to provide an information society service you have explicitly requested (for example remembering your cookie choices). Optional analytics and marketing technologies, if we add them, will rely on your consent under the ePrivacy framework and, where they involve personal data, on GDPR Article 6(1)(a). We do not use optional cookies to circumvent your choice.
Advertising platforms: tags such as Google Ads conversion or remarketing pixels (when implemented) belong in the marketing category. They must not run for visitors in Finland or the wider EEA until you have given consent that meets Finnish and EU standards; see also Google’s EU User Consent Policy.
| Name / key | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| cookie_decision_v1 (local storage) | Strictly necessary | Stores whether you accepted, rejected optional, or saved custom preferences. | Until you clear site data |
| cookie_prefs_v1 (local storage) | Strictly necessary | Stores boolean flags for analytics and marketing choices. | Until you clear site data |
| Future analytics cookies | Optional (consent) | Would measure aggregate traffic; only activated if we implement a provider and you consent. | Per provider documentation |
| Future marketing cookies | Optional (consent) | Would support campaign measurement or personalisation; only activated with consent. | Per provider documentation |
| Google Maps (embedded iframe) | Third party; may set cookies or similar storage | Displays a map on the contact page. Google Ireland Limited (or its successor) acts as a separate controller or processor according to Google’s terms. May process device and usage data including approximate location. | Per Google’s policies |
| jsDelivr CDN (Remix Icon font stylesheet) | Third party; technical request | Loads icon font files. The CDN operator may process IP address and technical metadata as a processor to its customer (this site) or under its own policies. | Per provider documentation |
Some pages embed a Google Maps iframe and load Remix Icon fonts from a CDN. Those providers may process technical data such as IP address under their own policies. We minimize third parties and document them transparently. For embedded maps, consider privacy tools offered by your browser.
Where a third party acts as an independent controller, their privacy notice applies in addition to this policy. Where they act as our processor, we rely on data processing agreements consistent with GDPR Article 28.
Online identifiers and usage data collected through cookies may constitute personal data. Retention depends on the technology: local storage entries we set persist until you clear site data; third-party retention is described in their documentation.
For access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection where applicable, and complaints—including to the Finnish Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman—see our privacy policy.
You can delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Blocking all storage may break the consent memory and cause the banner to reappear. Use incognito mode to test a fresh session.
When we add real analytics or marketing tags, we will update this table and, where required, re-seek consent. Last updated: 14 May 2026
